Response Wear RESPONDER-1 Stab Protection Vest

After trialing the RESPONDER Stab Protection Vest multiple hospital security departments and 4 of the largest security companies in Australia chose these vests over some of Australia's largest suppliers. The Responder has a waist adjustment allowance of approximately 4cm each side and 5cm for length (Approx). This stab protection vest utilises a patent pending manufacturing technology which makes these stab-protection garments innovative and unique throughout the world providing stab and slash protection in one product. 

Some competing vests are made for U.K. conditions and the Australian climate has not been taken into consideration. This vest's material is lightweight, flexible and has a patented design that allows air to enter and heat to escape from the material easier, offering flexibility and breathability - which is what you want when you are wearing one for a full shift!

Engineered to meet the stringent requirements of a major Australian health institution, the RESPONDER-1 is the latest design of the superseded Responder Stab Protection Vest. The vest was selected over competitors due to its inclusion of flexible stab panels, comfort and tough yet lightweight design and side protection.

This vest has a flap over the zipper and has a hook and loop panel for affixing your velcro backed badges to. Vest are made to order with a slight +- minus adjustment range on the waist and shoulders. With plenty of molle webbing you wont be left short for attaching your own molle style pouches. The outer fabric of the vest is very durable. This makes it particularly suited for law enforcement and also ideal for outdoor use.

After many years of intensive research, Response Wear have succeeded in manufacturing a textile composite that is safe, light and flexible at the same time. This tactical stab-proof vest weighs only approx. 1.5 kg, (level 1) for example. The protective layer is made of a high-strength aramid fabric to which a special plastic is inseparably applied. The combination of high strength fibres and the energy absorbing plastic create a material of which its specific properties even exceed those of stainless steel plates.

The weight is approx. 4.5 times lower than that of a comparably thick stainless steel plate. We have taken the armadillo as a model to ensure flexibility and breath-ability. Just like this armoured mammal, we make use of an overlapping scaly structure. However, our scaly structure differs from that of other suppliers in that it is not possible to push it apart. This allows us to achieve a high degree of safety in combination with maximum flexibility.
